The video gives an overview of ELOXYCHEM, highlighting its goal to transform the chemical industry through electrification. It also features snippets from interviews and footage captured during the project’s kick-off meeting held in Marl, Germany, in February 2024.

The ELOXYCHEM project aims to contribute to solving some of today’s challenges in the chemical industry, particularly the reliance on fossil raw materials and energy-intensive processes. By utilizing biogenic and industrial substrates, electrochemistry serves as the key solution, enabling a greener production of carboxylic acids, essential ingredients for high-performance polymers and polyester resins, for example. Through an AI-based process, the pilot plant, which will be developed in this project, will be monitored and controlled to ensure better efficiency.
